Impact Films hasn't added a story.
One Punch Kill is a work of fiction with its background in actual events. As a writer and self-defence instructor, I was both fascinated and saddened to read the figures concerning men killed by a single punch, usually in drink-related incidents, in the U.K. over the last few years.
Often the fatality is caused by the victim being unconscious before they hit the pavement, meaning they are unable to break their fall. However, it is also the case that the death is caused by the actual punch itself.
In One Punch Kill, a gentle youth suffers from his father’s toxic masculinity and his efforts to address matters have devastating and life-changing consequences that will affect his family and a whole town.

Perks
As Self Defence instructors we need to educate our students on the difference between legally protecting ourselves and an unlawful killing, whatever form that may take.
The short film One Punch Kill is just the start of bringing together this important social message. Plans are already being made to develop the short into a feature film in 2026 alongside Simon’s other feature-length script, Being Bullied.
You can be a part of this important journey. For just £60 your name and Martial Arts Academy will feature in the credits of One Punch Kill, bringing awareness to your own brand. We plan to submit the film to festivals all over the world (including Cannes), so your recognition has the chance to go global.
You will also, if you require, be given first consideration for parts such as extras, stuntmen and supporting roles in the potential feature film.
You can contact us via info@simonmorrell.com for more information or to contribute today go to https://fnd.us/onepunchkill?ref=sh_8E3ayaPlease note as the writers of this short film, neither Julie nor I are requesting any fees. All monies raised will go to production and cast and crew.

Looking forward to getting started on One Punch Kill, our latest short film before we head over to Being Bullied, our next feature film.
Another day working on One Punch Kill and recording a video explaining the origins of this powerful story.
So as things do, there have been some changes to our project, but One Punch Kill is still on course to film this summer as we talk to a possible new producer tomorrow, Friday 4th April 2025. I am sure we will have exciting updates here tomorrow! Cast and crew still firmly aboard.
Please contact me, Julie at info@simonmorrell.com with any queries or questions.
We are very pleased to announce that tonight, British filmmaker Pete Collins has come on board as the producer of One Punch Kill. Pete is already working closely with us on the feature film Being Bullied, which is based on Simon’s award-winning books From Bullied to Black Belt and An Everyday Warrior so we expect he will bring his very high standards to this film.
If you have contributed to our fund (and we are very grateful), someone has inadvertently refunded you. If you continue to wish to support us, please could you re issue you contribution and thank you!
